I really appreciate this note from you.

Author’s note: This poem is a conversation between me and a dead man. When I ask him why is he still here among the living, he tells me about the sins he committed when he was alive. With every sin he committed, link by link, a chain was forged. Now, he is forever chained to his coffin. He cannot escape.
People who died, on the same day as him, are already in a better place (heaven) and have met their dead dear ones (family, etc) but he cannot.
