Thank you, Amelie, for this reference. As someone who was labeled as a narcissist by his ex-wife, I really appreciate that this is not only a male characteristic. Your many quotes also helped me confirm the gaslighting that I was subject to for so many years without even knowing it. The label of Narcissism was placed upon me so often I sought therapeutic help to determine if the label was appropriate. I learned much about myself, and I take full responsibility for my actions, defenses and reactionary abuses. Being vulnerable here is not easy and yet, it helps. You have done me a great service by providing information and examples I can contemplate. The perspective I now have will help me live a different life.
