Thank you Nicholas for this article and congratulations on your successes. I tend to agree with Peggy S on her point about stepping out of one’s comfort zone and stepping into foreign territory.
My experience with fear, self examining the origins of that fear and then stepping into that fear alone can sometimes be as debilitating as the fear itself. This is similar to what Peggy describes as potentially causing dysfunctional patterns.
I do agree one will have to step into their fear to see what’s on the other side, but I would add to your post and to Peggy’s comment, that moving from brain to heart and taking on a partner for support no matter what change is desired would dramatically improve the chances for success. “We may think that we fully control ourselves.
