Thank you Rolli, for your insights. I started writing a few years ago beginning in my 60's. I have never claimed to be a "writer," just someone who wanted to express himself.

I have to admit to holding out some hope of supplemental income. Perhaps this is not the place...and yet, it is "a" place. I choose to believe that my path will be full of twists and turns, one of which is here with you now.

I too appreciate many genres, including poetry and short essays.
